What is it about?

Using the Creative Arts to Rescue Girls from Modern SlaverySlavery is real both abroad and in the US and has been called THE humanitarian crisis of our time.In fact, as hard as it is to believe, there is more slavery in the world today than ever before. Every 30 seconds another child is being sold into slavery. The majority of slaves are women and children in forced prostitution and manual labor.The average price for a slave at the hieght of the TransAtlantic Slave Trade was $40,000.00 The average price for a slave today is $90.00RescueTheGirl is a voluntary organization made up of artists and ordinary people who simply want to make a difference.RescueTheGirl has successfully hosted unique awareness and fundraising events to benefit those in the worst form of exploitation: sex slavery.RescueTheGirl is producing a one-of-a-kind film that includes undercover footage, interviews with sex workers, the incredible story of 15 rescued girls, and the reality of what can happen when ordinary people say "yes" to the inspiration to do something (read more below to learn more).Rescue The Girl - the filmThe current focus for RescueTheGirl is a feature film. Through out the many performances, which included dance, comedy, music, and drama, were multimedia clips and videos about modern slavery.During a brief presentation about Rescue the Girl the audience was treated to unrealesed footage from the upcoming film we are in the process of producing.
